Hellersdorf - the youngest disctrict of Berlin consists of the parts Kaulsdorf, Mahlsdorf as well as Hellersdorf and with the construction of the estate of new buildings in 1986 it was disembodied from the district Marzahn as an independent district.
The most attractive village in the district Hellersdorf is probably Mahlsdorf. There you can find an old manor house, in which the nationally famous museum of the founding period is located, that was furnished with loving care by the famous transvestite Charlotte von Mahlsdorf. There you can marvel at musical instruments and furniture from the terminating 19th century. The most beautiful and at the same time oldest testimony of Mahlsdorf is a fieldstone church from the 13th century. If you walk further to Kaulsdorf, the other part of Hellersdorf, you can visit an environment farm.
