A103 Berlin - Exit Saarstraße
|
All motorways to Berlin first pass the motorway ring (A10) of Berlin. From there, you get connected to the centre through diverse exits. If you want to drive to the City-west, the best way is over the A115. The A113, on the other hand, leads to the south-eastern districts of the city. The northern part of Berlin is connected best by the A114 to the motorway ring and goes through Pankow and Weißensee. The A111 leads to Reinickendorf.
Important: Berlin has two centres – City-West and City-East. If there is a sign leading to “Mitte” (German for: Centre), the same titled district of Berlin is meant – thus, City-East. City-West is located around the Kurfürstendamm, about 15 minutes away from Mitte by car. |

Sign Environmental Zone at the Circle Line
|
On 1st October 2010 a new regulation became effective, which allows only motor vehicles with a green sticker to approach the inner city area of Berlin. This area is defined by the Ringbahn (German for: Circle line) of the suburbian train, and it is also signposted on the streets.
Only coaches with a yellow sticker are not concerned with this regulation for 2 years and are allowed to continue driving into the centre of the city. |
